This weekend was awesome. i just had so many lunches/dinners with people. the best day was yesterday tho. it was my last sunday at KCPC before moving on to teach at my home church. man... when they announced to the kids that i would be leaving... one of the girls gave me this look... AIGO! she almost made me cry! dang... but luckily... i have a heart of stone. haha.. the same little girl wouldn't let go of me for literally 10min afterwards... "Noooooo... please stay! who's gonna tutor us in Taekwondo?"... ahh.. so sad.. haha.. my 5th grade boys seemed to take it ok... i didn't think they would have a problem w/it... as a going away gift, i made them christian mix cd's. hopefully they'll enjoy it.
at night... the CM staff, CM pastor, and CM directors went out for dinner. the dinner is a yearly thing that the church pays for... and it's for all the staff... but i honestly feel like i "stole the show"... i feel bad. i got cards n stuff... and it was hard trying to remind all of them that the dinner was for all of us. but anyways... the staff got me this cake! haha.. dang... most of u know that i'm not big on sweets... but wow.. i had two slices. it was this awesome tiramisu cake... it could've used a bit more rum... but i'm not complaining.. haha. so much love from CM staff... damn... i'm gonna miss them so much. i really wish i had more time to spend w/them. we usually have this 2 hour break in between teaching the kids and having our own bible lesson in preparation for the next week... so we'd always chill during the 2hrs... definitely gonna miss those times.
frank came up to me and was like...
F: hey... so, did u get a note from anyone?
S: i got a couple of cards
F: nah.. u know... like did u get any notes?
S: haha... dang i wish...
he was referring to any girl writing me a goodbye type note... haha... but that didn't happen. no biggie! =P
*sigh*... so the weekend has passed again. sitting in this office is sobering me up from the weekend that was. sad eh? haha... it's not too bad. changes will happen i tell ya. God has given me renewed hope.
