what were u expecting?

salaam a la kum ! hello

well, today was the last day of work at the orphanage, it isnt done yet, but theres another team coming in to finish the work... we mostly ended paainting the interior with stuff called whit wash... its basically like white water, about as consistent as milk... i dunno how it stays on, but good thing it doesnt rain much around here...

for the next part of our trip, i think were gonna be doing prayer walks through markets... a prayer walk is basically praying for any stranger that walks past you asking the Lord to introduce Christ into their lives...

just in the past fez days, ive learned a lot about morocco, at least why there are so many orphans in the town were in... the small town has many prostitutes and therefore many illegitemate children.. on top of that, morocco is a 99 percent muslim country.. and in islam, there are no rewards for taking in orphans, so very few people help... the state orphanages are poorly funded and are not run well... a child will stay in a room until they get big enough to get moved into another room... and might be kicked out around the age of 10... im sure theres a lot im leaving out, but thats the jist of it...

in order to be a citizen and receive schooling, the father must sign official paper work saying that kid is his... if there is no father, then theyre not even counted in a census, no schooling is received... and if their mom leaves them..; then u can only imagine what their days are like...

so please pray for this country that it will be open to all religions and that it would take better care of the children... pray that people will find work... about 40 percent are unemployed... and the government is known to be corrupt... but their is qa new king that is trying to make some changses...
