what were u expecting?

i had a really good weekend.

Friday. Finished watching the last 3 episodes of Alias w/my parents. Now i have to wait for season 3 to come out on dvd.

Saturday. Had lunch w/Neil, my accountability partner. afterwards i studied at main stacks for a few hours and i saw some kcpc guys that i served w/on the children's staff. after that i chilled w/my old roomie sang... shot pool and had dinner.

Sunday. Yesterday was our second to last Sunday at that church. we're moving out next week to a different location. i took a bunch of photos and interviewed the kids, asking them what's memorable about this church and to say something for mother's day. afterwards i went to Wellspring... fought off the sleep during service. after service they had this missionary couple serving in the phillippines give a talk on what they were doing there. man... just hearing them and seeing what they were doing through slides... i felt as if God was calling me out. not necessarily to the phillippines, but just out somewhere. the couple was part of a team from OMF that was working with poor muslims in urban communities, and the things they were doing, i was like.. i could totally help out with stuff like that. things like teaching english, computers, sports and of course there are things i wouldn't be able to do... like medicine, accounting, etc... but i could imagine myself out there. so i've started to pray if going out longterm is a possibility.
