======================================================

i had a very awesome/blessed weekend.

Thursday: Finally cooked dinner for SG. wow... it was crazy crazy. i planned to have appetizers out by 7:30pm, but i finished at 7:45pm.. and the pasta/salad were done at 8:15pm. pretty good timing if i say so myself. cooking for about 15ppl was a lot of work, but thank God i got help from others. the quality of the food came out good too. i was pleased with the way everything came out. i think my favorite was the baguette with balsamic garlic/onion reduction spread w/parmesan/proscuitto/basil topped w/olive oil and cracked pepper. seemed like everyone enjoyed the food which made me happy.

Friday: drove down to palo alto (skipped work) and headed down w/chinsan and jane to LA for the wedding. slept over at hong's place and played like 2hrs of pong. i did well... i definitely brought my A game, but i still think hong was holding back.

Saturday: The wedding. Got to the chapel a bit late... it was held at an episcopal church. the interior was amazing. two levels, staind glass windows, huge sanctuary... it was a beautiful place to have a wedding. so after pastor ryan gave the sermon, the bride and groom went to bow to the parents. that was sad. both the bride and the groom were balling when they were hugging the parents. i felt the urge inside of me. but c'mon ppl... stone heart! suppressed that sucker. haha.. but i was thinking about it.. and man.. i think there might be a possibility that i might cry at my wedding. so sad.. hehe... the reception was held at a country club. wow. this place was money. i wish they included a free round of golf for all those in the wedding party. to sum up the reception... the brother of the groom and sister of the bride were the MC's. i thought they did a very good job, figuring that they don't do this all the time. food was pretty good. champagne was good too. what i found annoying was when ppl kept hitting their glasses so that the bride and groom would kiss. who made that up? freakin annoying. for my wedding, i'll have to give everyone chopsticks and paper cups so they don't hit the stemware w/their silverware. hehe.. so we left when the dancing (or the dance music) started. just doesn't seem right to bust out the rump shaker when it's daytime. haha.. so we headed back home. i'd have to say that the roadtrip aspect was the most memorable and it was just good for me. it's been a long time since i've been in the presence of other brother's and sister's where we could all be open and honest and encouraging. i feel like i'm missing that in my life. anyways...

i'll write more later... i should get some work done.
