=======================================================

I went to the Jason Mraz concert last night. wow. amazing. that was the best concert i've ever been to in my life. (disclaimer... i've only been to 3?).. it was at zellerbach in berkeley. i have so much respect for that guy's talent. he's definitely a great great singer. he didn't seem as impressive as the other two acts on the guitar.. but he had that stage presence.. and he was frickin hilarious.

the show was titled, "the Acoustic Tour of the Curbside Prophets", catchy eh? the show opened up with Makano, a super cut hawaiian guy that had incredible guitar skills... at one point.. he was playing the guitar w/his forearm, palm, backhand, and leg. yea.. u just had to be here. so creative. the way he played was very soothing. altho he was performing by himself.. it literally sounded like there were two or three guitars when he was playing, b/c he was strumming and picking at the same time. next was this other dude w/a rastafarian type name... this guy was crazy talented. first of all.. he was blind. like ray charles blind. but he could play the guitar to make it sound like he had a band w/him... he could also make a trumpet sound w/his mouth. amazing. this guy was very soulful. and last was jason mraz. great voice. great crowd interaction. his improv skills were really good too.

final thoughts: it's amazing to see the talents and creativity that God has given some of us. just to be apart of that last night... extremely satisfying.
