i'm still pretty dang tired from all of last week... i went out every night, mon-sun. i'll just recap the important stuff.
so my hyung left for korea. we had multiple parties for him before he left... i drove him out to the airport.. and i wish we could've had time to reminisce and stuff... but there were just too many ppl that met up w/us there... i could've written him a card.. but i was too busy during the week. he got a present w/o a card... oh well.. it was a damn good present. even tho he's gonna be in korea for good (most likely).. .i'll see him again... i'll take a vacation out there... hopefully to see him get married. dang... i've been thru so much with him tho.. what i remember most about him (at this very moment) was helping me write letters to my last gf in korean. what a hyung.
i visited my friend neil on saturday. he got out of the coma about a week prior... and was doing fairly well. i'd say he was about 80% coherent. there must have been significant damage done to the frontal lobe, b/c his memory and speech were affected. the good thing was.. he recognized me and chinsan... and the amazing thing was that in his current state.. he was praising God for how good He was and is... and that He trusted in God's bigger plan even though he couldn't comprehend the whole situation. but please continue to pray for him... he'll be starting rehab soon, which is a great sign.
so my home church (young kwang presbyterian) officially merged with (first korean presbyterian) yesterday. we're now located by 3com park and we're adopting their title... so the church is huge. well.. it's very spacious. there's a main sanctuary, which is the 2nd floor. the first floor houses the cafeteria. the 3rd floor overlooks the sanctuary. and btw... there are two pong tables in the cafeteria.. woot woot! there are tons of other rooms... two other smaller sanctuary's... a computer room for the kids... a music room for the kids... two preschool rooms... it's insane... i found out that they used to be a really big church... but they either had multiple splits... or they all split at the same time. so i'm the only teacher... still.. now my class size has increased to approx 10kids. all in middle school to frosh yr hs. tough? yea... i need to get my ass in gear and really start preparing... please pray that i'd put more time into preparing, that more teachers would arise, and that the members of this church would truly come together in praise and worship as one body.
so the front "H" (honda) emblem on my car got jacked on saturday morning... i was in berkeley taking my hyung out to breakfast... that bastard left a dent in my grille too... and while i was washing my car tonight.. i noticed that they tried to jack my rear "H" emblem too, but they cracked it and left it... bastards. well... at least they didn't take my car right? yea... would i be able to forgive the person who did this if i knew who it was? yea... after i kicked them in the face a few times... haha... eh... the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh..
so i'm trying to find a pilates class.. but it's damn hard... there seems to be one in oakland that looks promising. my friend mike ran a couple tests on me to test my core strength... and i don't have much core strength. try this... get down on all fours... straighten ur back and make sure ur arms and knees are at 90deg angles... slowly extend ur opposite arm and leg... hold... then slowly return to position... try the other arm and leg... ur back should be completely level thoughout this excercise or else u have a lack in core strength... test #2... lay down flat w/ur arms extended above and parallel to ur body... now do a situp with ur legs straight and bring ur hands and feet to the same point... if u can do that in a smooth motion.. then ur core strength is fine... mine however.. is pretty damn weak. i'm lookin forward to pilates.
i'll try to write more often... it's kinda hard now that i'm actually busy at work... but work has been good. no complaints... except for the lack of sit down toilets. =P oh yea... and they're giving me more responsibilities. this is my 5th week at hotwire... and yea... it's been awesome... i'll be doing some meatier online marketing projects...
One last thing... my friend is a writer for the chronicle and he wrote a story on Karaoke... i was one of the 2ppl he interviewed: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2004/07/25/PKGUV7PRBQ1.DTL
