had a great weekend. on saturday i sat in on kcpc's praise practice. they're such a talented group of ppl. amazing. sang, the leader, didn't have to direct them much in what he wanted. everything just came together.
after that, i chilled at the youth jdsn's new apt.. and the youth kids came over. his apt is so freakin nice. it's over by tanforan in san bruno. hmm... anyone wanna co-buy a condo somewhere with the no down/interest only for 5 yr option? then rent it out and sell it for a profit? i'm definitely feeling the urge to buy property.
anyways.. so later that night.. i took john s kim out to dinner at boulevard. wow. the food, the ambiance, did i mention the food? haha.. it was sooo amazing. here's what we had:
- squab stuffed with chantrelle mushrooms wrapped in bacon with a parsley/truffle sauce with walnuts. (appetizer)
- wine: 2000 pinot noir from napa valley
- his: halibut, scallops, & prawns... simply mouth watering. aigo.. so dang good.
- mine: wood fired filet mignon on a bed of spinach with fingerling potatoes. mmm...
- dessert: chocolate sampler... small piece of chocolate cake, choco ice cream, & chocolate mousse. i'm not a sweets person, but damn... so good. haha.
not only was the food good.. but the time spent w/this brother was good too. just being transparent.. sharing.. encouraging... good times. including tax + tip.. i ended up spending $150. yes.. insane, but it was well worth it.
